2009-2013 Statewide Highway & Bridge Construction Schedule
The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the week of Jan. 12-16, 2009. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures and delays can be expected.

Boone County
Overnight/Daylight Hours
Route 763 between Big Bear Blvd. and Prathersville Road in Columbia – Roadway widening.
* Blue Ridge Road on the east side of Route 763 is now open to traffic.
* The roadway between Big Bear Blvd. and Prathersville Road in various locations is narrowed to ten feet.
* Construction of the roundabout continues at Prathersville Road. The remaining portion of the roundabout is expected to open within a few weeks.
* Brown School Road West at Route 763 remains closed to traffic.
The project is expected to be complete by August 2009.
Daylight Hours
Route 63 between Route AB and just North of Route H – Roadway maintenance will take place in the southbound lanes on Tuesday, Jan. 13 through Thursday, Jan. 15. One southbound lane will be open to traffic in the work area.

Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Route I-70 between Route Z (mile maker 154.4) and the Auxvasse Creek Bridge (mile marker 153.4) – Roadway maintenance will take place in the westbound lanes on Thursday, Jan. 15. One westbound lane will be open to traffic during the work.
Route O at Route UU in Fulton – Crews will install sign post bases on Tuesday, Jan. 13. One lane will be open to traffic during the work.

Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 Expressway, between Business 54 and the Grand Glaize Bridge – Grading, paving and new bridge construction.
* Grading and drainage operations are scheduled to resume on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009.
* Work is underway for the Osage Beach Parkway South bridge substructure.
* New signals and lighting are being installed along the existing Route 54.
* East and westbound traffic on existing Route 54 is using the bypass between Route 42 and Bluff Road. The bridge within the bypass has a width restriction of two 10-foot lanes. This traffic configuration will remain in place through spring 2009.
The project will be complete by 2010.
Route 5 from two miles south of the Niangua Bridge to south of Camdenton near Route 7 – New roadway, interchanges, bridges and paving.
* Grading is underway for the new alignment at Willow Creek Rd.
* Installation of highway signing will take place throughout project area.
* New signals and lighting work continues at the new Route 54/Route 5 interchange. Minor traffic delays can be expected.
* Grading and drainage work will take place at the new alignment at Lake Road 5-89 and existing Route 5.
This project is expected to be complete in 2009.
Howard’s Ford on County Road NN-166
Griswald’s Slab on County Road N-145
Green’s Slab on County Road N-166R - Low water crossing modifications. All three roadways cross the Little Niangua River northwest of Route N, near Macks Creek. The work is being done as part of MoDOT’s efforts to mitigate environmental impacts for nearby highway construction. The modifications will also reduce maintenance needs and reduce the frequency of flooding. Griswald’s Slab on County Road N-145 is now open. Green’s Slab on County Road N-166R and Howard’s Ford on County Road NN-166 remain closed. Motorists should find alternate routes during construction.
Route 54 between Route 73 and the Hickory County line – Roadway maintenance. One lane will be open to traffic in the work area.
Route 5 between Old Route 5 and south of Route P in Laclede County – Shared four-lane highway. Excavation, rock removal, erosion control and drainage work continue on the north end of the project. This portion of the project is expected to be complete by early fall 2009.

Daylight Hours
Route 179 between Route N and Industrial Drive in Jefferson City – Roadway maintenance will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 13 through Friday, Jan. 16. One lane will be open to traffic in each work area.
Route 179 between West Truman Blvd in Jefferson City and the Moniteau County line – Sign replacements in various locations along the route on Tuesday, Dec. 13 through Thursday, Jan. 15. One lane will be open to traffic in each work area.

Route 135 at the I-70 Overpass – Concrete work will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 13 through Friday, Jan. 16. One lane will be open to traffic in the work area.

Route 28 between Pump Station Road and Route 50
Route 19 between Bem Church Road and the Crawford County line – Roadway maintenance will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 13 through Friday, Jan. 16. One lane will be open in each work area.

Route 42 between County Road 318 and Route Z – Sign replacements in various locations along the route are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 16. One lane will be open to traffic in each work area.

Daylight Hours
Route Y between Route 52 and Footelane Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 14. One lane will be open to traffic in the work area.

Route Y, just northeast of Route W – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Thursday, Jan. 15. One lane will be open to traffic in the work area.

Moniteau County
Daylight Hours
Route 50 east of Route E to Route K – Clearing, grading and drainage work for new four-lane highway. Traffic on Route 50 is not affected at this time.
Route E from just west of Higgins Road to the Morgan County line – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Monday, Jan. 12 and Tuesday, Jan. 13. Both lanes will be closed during the work. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes.

Route 50 between Route 127 and the Johnson County line – Concrete replacement in the westbound lanes. One westbound lane will be open to traffic in the work area.
