The project will improve safety and traffic flow through the lake area. The work is proposed in two stages; from Business Route 54 in Miller County to the Grand Glaize Bridge and from the Grand Glaize Bridge to west of Route KK in Camden County. The proposed design includes construction of a four-lane divided expressway to include grading, drainage, bridges, retaining walls, paving and utilities.
Six interchanges will provide access between existing Route 54 and the new expressway. The interchanges will be at Business Route 54, Route 42, Passover Road, Jefferies Road, Broadwater Lane and Nichols/Route KK.
