Route 63 Environmental and Location Study

MoDOT is conducting an environmental and location study to evaluate potential future transportation needs along a 47-mile stretch of Route 63, from 1/2 mile south of the Route 50/63 junction in Osage County to just north of Rolla in Phelps County. The study is an objective process to help determine what actions, if any, are needed to best serve the transportation needs of the area.

January 2009 UPDATE

The Draft Environmental Impact Statement for U.S. Route 63 is now available for public review. This document details the technical analysis and public insight used to develop a preferred alternative highway alignment. Comments on the document are due by March 2, 2009.

U.S. Route 50

Route 50

New Four-Lane Highway

 

The Missouri Department of Transportation has proposed the construction of a new four-lane highway on Route 50 in Osage County as part of the state's draft 2009-2013 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. Approximately 6.6 miles of Route 50, from the Route 50/63 junction to County Road 604 west of Linn, would be relocated and widened to four lanes.  If approved by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, work could begin in fall 2012.

Route 63 Resurfacing
Better Roads, Brighter Future Program
The Missouri Department of Transportation will resurface Route 63 in Osage and Maries Counties. Work will take place between Route P and the Gasconade River. Work will take place during daylight hours.
