The
traffic engineering specialist assists in reviewing
and analyzing traffic concerns and recommending corrective action;
may assist in the administration of signal, signing, and pavement
marking operations. Responsibilities are performed under
moderate supervision. Bachelor's Degree: Civil Engineering.
Supervisory
Responsibilities: None

conditions.
The
intermediate traffic engineering specialist assists
in reviewing and analyzing traffic related concerns and recommending
transportation facility improvement, and may assist in the administration
of signal, signing, and pavement marking operations. Responsibilities
are performed under moderate supervision. Bachelor's
Degree: Civil Engineering. Two years of experience in transportation
engineering.
Supervisory
Responsibilities: None
The
senior traffic engineering specialist leads the
collection of traffic volume, speed, and crash data; analyzes
data for causes and recommends remedial action; and leads the
signing and striping special crews or signal and lighting special
crews. Responsibilities are performed under general supervision.
Bachelor's Degree: Civil Engineering. Three years of experience
in highway and transportation engineering.
Supervisory
Responsibilities: Lead Worker Only
