MoDOT is taking additional steps to ensure you are aware of the latest construction-related restrictions. We are highlighting in red each day's new information.

Cass County
New Work Today and Updates/Change

Route W: Utility work will close the right lane of eastbound Route W at Route O through Friday, December 12.

Route O: Utility work will restrict traffic on Route O near Route WW from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Dec. 5.

Route T: Utility work will restrict traffic on Route T between Route 7 and Route B from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Dec. 5.

Clay County

I-35: Bridgework will close the right lane of southbound I-35 between Front Street the Paseo from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday through Wednesday, Dec. 5-10.
I-35: Grading will close the left lane of northbound I-35 between Independence Avenue and Paseo from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 and Monday through Wednesday, Dec. 8-10.
Route 210: Bridgework will close the right lane of westbound Route 210 between Arlington and I-435 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8.

I-35: Grading will close the left lane of northbound I-35 between Independence Avenue and Paseo from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, Dec. 1-5.

I-35: Bridgework will close the right lane of southbound I-35 between Front Street the Paseo from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday - Friday, Dec. 1-5.

I-29/35: Drainage and bridgework has closed the off-ramp from northbound I-29/35 to Bedford Avenue for two years. Motorists should continue north to 16th Ave. and re-enter the road going south to the Levee Road exit to access the Paseo Industrial District.

Route 169: Pavement repair will restrict traffic on southbound Route 169 between Briarcliff Parkway and Route 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, Dec. 3-5.

Route 210: Pavement repairs will close various lanes of westbound Route 210 between Route 291 and Walker Road from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. through December 12.

Route 24: Utility work will close the right lane of eastbound Route 24 at Route BB from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, December 8 through Saturday, December 13.

I-35: Road grading will close the left lane of northbound I-35 between Route 24 and The Paseo from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, Dec. 2-5.

I-35: Bridgework will close the right lane of southbound I-35 between Front Street and The Paseo from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, Dec. 2,3 & 5.

I-470: Shoulder work will close the left lane of eastbound I-470 between Woods Chapel Road and Colbern Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, through Dec. 13.

Route 150: Utility work will close the right lane of eastbound Route 150 near State Line Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Jan. 1.

Route 71: Pavement striping will restrict traffic on northbound Route 71 at Route 150 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, Dec. 3-5.

Route 71: Pavement striping will restrict traffic on southbound Route 71 between Blue Ridge Boulevard and 155th Street from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, Dec. 3-5.

Route 78: Utility work will close the right lane of eastbound Route 78 between Kings Highway and Lee's Summit Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, Dec. 2-6.

Route 78: Traffic signal work will restrict traffic on Route 78 at Noland Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Monday, Dec. 8.

Route BB: Utility work will close the right lane of Route BB at Sibley Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday – Monday, December 4-8.

Long-Term Closures

Cass County

Clay County
I-35: Bridgework will reduce Front Street at I-35 in each direction through September 2010.

I-29/35: Bridge construction will close the southbound I-29/35 ramp to westbound Armour Road and the ramp from westbound Armour Road to southbound I-29/35 for at least one year.

I-29: New pavement construction will restrict traffic on northbound I-29 between Route 210 and River Front Road from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Dec. 31.

Jackson County
I-29: Bridgework will close the right lane of northbound I-29 at Front Street through July 2009.

I-35: Lane reconfiguration will close the ramp from north Paseo to northbound I-35 through July 2010.

I-70: Bridge repairs will restrict westbound I-70 to two lanes at Manchester bridge through late-November. Also the ramps will be closed from Manchester Trafficway to westbound I-70, and from northbound and southbound I-435 to westbound I-70 through the end of November.

I-470/Route 50: Bridge construction has narrowed lanes through the interchange, and will close lanes in either direction during non-peak hours.

Route 71: Bridge and pavement removal has closed the ramp from southbound Route 71 to Route 150. Traffic exiting southbound Route 71 at Route 150 must use alternatives: Either the 140th Street ramp to the west outer road; or proceeding south on Route 71 to 155th Street, then east on 155th over the highway to the northbound Route 71 on ramp road and back north to Route 150. The closure will continue for at least 9 months.

Route 71: The ramp from Route 150 to northbound Route 71 has closed and will remain closed until spring 2010. Motorists are urged to use the east outer road to the ramp north of 140th Street to access northbound Route 71.

Route 71: Route 71 has switched to two-way, head-to-head traffic near Route 150. Both northbound and southbound Route 71 between just south of 140th Street and just north of 155th Street are now two lanes in each direction (a reduction from three lanes) divided by a concrete barrier, to accommodate bridge replacement at Route 150. The temporary arrangement will last through spring 2010.

Lafayette County
Route 24 Resurfacing will restrict traffic on Route 24 between Route 65 and Route 13 through mid-November.

Platte County
Route 9: Construction of a temporary crossover will close the left lane of southbound Route 9 between Van de Populier and I-635 in Riverside through December.

Route 69: Bridgework will close various lanes of northbound Route 69 at I-635 through December 4.

Ray County
Route EE: A rockslide has closed both northbound and southbound Route EE at the bridge over the BNSF railroad until a replacement can be constructed.
